Metal Study: AluminumDesign 2
To explore the properties of metal, I chose to study aluminum. The model constructed shows the versatility of that metal. This is portrayed mostly through the two spheres. One is made of pentagons to create a dodecahedron, showing the ability of the aluminum to form planar shapes. The other sphere has a curvilinear profile achieved with closed petals. These spheres exemplify the capability of the aluminum to complete similar forms with different shapes and that aluminum can hold its form under different conditions. The ribbons protruding from each sphere create a cyclical movement showing that aluminum may be infinitely recycled. These projections also show sounds quality of the aluminum when it remains one piece, but frayed. Finally, each element functions to exemplify the reflective quality of the metal, regardless of its formed shape. |
