"Complex Ideas Conveyed Through Minimalist Designs"

More About James

I am currently a Junior at Fairmont State University in Fairmont, WV. Design is my passion; whether I am referring to my architectural projects, graphics, drawings, or ceramics. I may not know everything, but I am a quick learner; willing to dedicate the time to complete a task properly. I work well in groups and alone. Also, I am self-motivated to complete tasks assigned to me.

I first became interested in architecture due to my appreciation for the arts and mathematics. These two passions come forth to express themselves in my designs. I tend to be inspired by the geometries I perceive or wish to convey. Much of my work also contains some system of proportions as a guide. Beyond this, I enjoy clean designs, pared down to their simplest forms.

On breaks from college, I spend my time as a barista at a local coffee
shop. On campus, I am currently the second-term Treasurer for the American Institute of Architecture Students, Secretary of the Honors Association, and Junior Senator to the Student Government Association.

Who Am I?

In my spare time, I tend to doodle mindlessly, read fictitious literature, and bake the most unhealthy desserts.

Before College

I spent high school swimming laps for my local YMCA and high school swim teams. I was also a district executive, District Editor, for Key Club, a student-led service organization.
